ACHA’s day to day functions are managed by a Secretariat based at its headquarters. The Secretariat takes advice and guidance from the Advisory Board (AB) and is overseen by the General Assembly (GA). ACHA’s Secretariat is headed by an Executive Director (ED) elected by the GA and with the input of the AB. The ED serves at the behest of the GA, but is limited to no more than a six year term and may not be re-elected. Supporting the ED in the programmatic functions of ACHA are four coordinators, one each for the services that ACHA provides. Supporting the ED in the administrative functions of ACHA are a Director of Finance and Administration and a Director of External Relations. The Secretariat benefits from the additional support of volunteers.
